There is a great discussion thread about the 30×47 on Bench-Talk.com A lot of the history of the development of the cartridge. Interesting stuff going back to the 70’s and 80’s on the origin of the 30×47.
There is also some additional information on 6mmbr regarding cartridges used in competition.
